There’s a new entry level G-Class for 2025, which brings the iconic SUV’s starting price to a reasonable and attainable $150,000. That version, the G550, is powered by a turbocharged I-6 engine rather than the G’s traditional V-8. Subtle exterior design revisions are said to improve aerodynamics and make the loud wind noise slightly less so.

But the bigger news is the arrival of a G-Wagen that doesn’t have an engine at all: the G580 with EQ Technology packs a four-motor electric powertrain that enables extreme off-road capability and some seriously cool party tricks.

The revered G63 AMG promises quicker acceleration thanks to mild-hybrid augmentation for its V-8 engine. Hydraulic roll stabilization is offered as part of the AMG Active Ride Control package. Inside, there’s a new infotainment with updated off-road features. Subtle design updates are applied, while many new paint, interior colorway, trim, and wheel designs become available.
